Girl, 7, dies after falling off farming tractor in Tweed, Ont.
Ministry of Agriculture notified after girl was struck by tractor in farming incident, OPP say
A seven-year-old girl is dead after she fell off a tractor and was struck by it, Ontario Provincial Police say.
It happened on Bethel Road in Tweed, Ont., at about 5:30 p.m. ET Friday.
The girl was riding on the tractor and had just fallen off when she was hit by the tractor, OPP said in a media release. She was later pronounced dead at hospital.
The name of the girl is not being released.
The Ministry of Agriculture has been notified and the OPP investigation is continuing.
Tweed is about 190 kilometres southwest of Ottawa, north of Belleville, Ont.
