Gatineau police officer suspended after criminal investigation
Off-duty incident in Trois-Rivières, Que. prompts criminal, internal investigations
Gatineau police said an officer in a management position with the force has been suspended after alleged criminal behaviour in an incident while off-duty in Trois-Rivières, Que.
Police said the officer, who they described as being in "a high level management position," has been put on administrative suspension.
The Gatineau Police Service's professional standards and internal affairs unit is conducting an administrative inquiry into the incident at the same time as Trois-Rivières police conducts a criminal investigation.
As no charges have been laid, Gatineau Police said they would not be releasing the name of the officer or revealing any information about the nature of the allegations.
