A funeral for a former Ottawa resident found dead in Panama earlier this month will be held Saturday afternoon.

Ed Moynan, 68, owned Centennial Glass in Ottawa for more than two decades before he and his wife sold the business, retired and moved to Panama about two years ago.

Moynan, a father of three, disappeared on Nov. 8.

Employees of a park about half an hour from Moynan’s home found a man's body in a suitcase last week.

Local police later identified Moynan as the victim.

Moynan's family and friends are expected to gather at the Daley Family Funeral Home on Mar. 16 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m, according to a Facebook post from his family.

His family says donation can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in his honour.
