Ottawa police say foul play isn't suspected in the death of a woman whose body was found in the Rideau River on Tuesday.

The body was found in the Rideau River near Carleton University around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

At the time, Ottawa police major crimes investigators said they considered her death suspicious. Officers were seen searching the area for any possible evidence while they waited for the results of the autopsy.

The autopsy showed that the woman's death is not suspicious in nature.

Police say the victim was 31 years old, but they will not be releasing her name.
