A former director of the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Care Group was sentenced to 15 months in prison and two years probation Friday on fraud charges.
Amanda Rousseau had pleaded guilty to forging signatures in order to defraud the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Care Group of about $20,000.
Rousseau received six months in jail for that offence.
Rousseau was also separately sentenced by another judge in an unrelated fraud case. In that case Rousseau pleaded guilty to defrauding a mentally ill woman of her savings, which the woman had asked Rousseau to administer for her. Rousseau had previously been the woman's social worker.
The two sentences will run consecutively, for a total of 15 months jail time.
She was also given two restitution orders, each relating to the separate cases of fraud.
