Former Gatineau mall Santa faces more sex assault charges
An elderly man who played Santa Claus in a Gatineau, Que., mall, is facing more charges after five more people have come forward accusing him of sexual assault.
In the fall, Gatineau police charged the then 78-year-old man for alleged incidents related to three minors between November 2012 and March 2013.
Police said nine more people came forward with allegations against the man, but just five wanted to press charges.
The alleged incidents now date back to 1982 and involve minors between four and 16 years old.
The accused played Santa Claus at Les Promenades Gatineau for one holiday season.
