A major fire broke out around 2 a.m. Thursday morning in Luskville, Quebec, in the municipality of Pontiac. (Submitted)

The single-family bungalow, valued at $291,000, was destroyed.

Firefighters responded after several neighbours called 911 to report the fire.

It took over two hours to get it under control.

The owner and two children left the home quickly. The owner was transported to the Hull hospital as a precaution.

The Pontiac fire department is investigating the cause.
