An Ontario woman has been charged and taken into custody after police say she drove into five marked Ontario Provincial Police cars in the parking lot of the Carleton Place OPP detachment.

A pedestrian was in the parking lot at 10:45 a.m. ET Tuesday and saw the woman drive her 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier into the rear parking lot and hit the side of a marked OPP cruiser. The woman then drove her car into four other police vehicles. No one was in the vehicles and no one was injured, said police.

She then drove her car to the front of the detachment where she was arrested.

A 36-year-old woman from Carleton Place, Ont., was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and five counts of mischief under $5,000.

She is expected to appear at a bail hearing on Wednesday at Perth Court.
