Dog finds possible human remains in west Quebec
Police in western Quebec are investigating after a dog brought home what are believed to be human bones.
MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais police say a dog owner in the community of Farrellton in La Pêche, Que., was at home Monday morning on Chemin Hogan when the dog returned.
Police say the remains were found in a private forestry lot at the end of a dead-end road, about a kilometre away from Lac Saint-Charles.
The origin of the bones is not known.
Further details have not been released and police remain at the home.
