Devontay Hackett, 18, wanted on charge of 2nd-degree murder
Ottawa police say Hackett could still be in Ottawa after June 7 stabbing death of Brandon Volpi
Hackett is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, and Ottawa police say he could still be in Ottawa.
He is facing a single charge of second-degree murder.
Hackett is described by police as a light brown-skinned man, standing six feet tall and weighing 135 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes.
Volpi, also 18, was found stabbed outside of Les Suites Hotel on Besserer Street early Saturday morning.
Students from three Catholic high schools in the city's south end — St. Joseph's, St. Pius X and St. Patrick's — were staying at the hotel that night, celebrating graduation.
Volpi was a student at St. Patrick’s High School, while Hackett attends St. Pius X.
