Daniel Alfredsson, who recently left the Ottawa Senators, wore a white Senators practice jersey and red socks while skating at the Sensplex with Chris Neil and Erik Karlsson weeks before training camps start.
The Monday morning scrimmaging was unusual because Alfredsson left the Senators to sign with the Detroit Red Wings in early July.
The Senators' all-time leading scorer over 17 seasons with the team said last week negotiations to return to the team "quickly stalled" and his thoughts soon turned to the idea of winning a Stanley Cup somewhere else.

Alfredsson didn't talk to the media after the skate.
