Body pulled from Rideau River identified as John Davies
Davies, an avid photographer, had not been heard from since April 3
The sister of missing Ottawa man John Davies confirmed that her brother's body was pulled from the Rideau River at Hog’s Back Falls on Thursday.
The 66-year-old had not been heard from since April 3.
His sister, Darlene Davies, filed a missing person report to police on April 17. Police found his Honda Civic at Hog’s Back Falls. His camera bag was in the car but there was no camera. He was an avid photographer.
Darlene Davies told CBC News her brother's body will be taken to his hometown of Barrie for a memorial service.
Her brother, a retired soldier, has lived in Ottawa for more than 20 years.
