Body found in Gatineau River at hydro dam ID'd as Chelsea man
Police say death of a 66-year-old man from Chelsea, Que. not viewed as suspicious
West Quebec police have identified the body of a man discovered in the Gatineau River on June 4 at a dam in Cantley.
MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais police identified the body as a 66-year-old man from Chelsea, Que.
Police said no foul play was suspected.
Police had said the body was located in the same area that a canoe had been discovered a month earlier.
Police had asked the public for assistance in identifying the body after it was discovered earlier this summer, releasing images of his jacket, ring and pendant. They said the public provided "valuable information" that contributed to the investigation.
