Bestiality, child pornography charges laid against Gatineau couple
Computer seized near Montreal led to Wednesday morning raid, police say
Gatineau police have laid child pornography and bestiality charges against a Gatineau couple following the seizure of a computer in the Montreal area.
They said a computer taken as part of a defamation lawsuit involving a victim in Saint-Jerome, Que., contained child pornography, according to information given to them by Saint-Jerome and Quebec provincial police.
Gatineau police raided the home of a 34-year-old Gatineau man and his 26-year-old partner Wednesday morning, they said, arresting them both and getting a minor living there into the care of a family member.
The couple are facing charges of possession of child pornography, production of child pornography, corruption of a child and bestiality, which police said is a rare charge for them to lay.
Gatineau police said their investigation and data analysis work is ongoing, and that they aren’t releasing details that could lead to the identification of the child.
