Hoping for a glimpse

With Obama not making any public stops along the way, people hoping for the glimpse of the U.S. President took up positions along the street or at Parliament Hill.

Waiting for hours

It wasn't long before it became clear to those waiting that they were not going to be seeing the U.S. President in person.

When Obama addressed Parliament, people outside watched the speech on the big screen.
