A 46-year-old man who suffered "serious, life-threatening injuries" during a family dispute near Kingston, Ont., earlier this week has died, according to police.
Officers responded to the dispute at a home in Amherstview, Ont., just west of Kingston, at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
The injured man was taken to hospital and a 19-year-old woman — a relative of the man — was arrested, OPP said.
The woman was initially charged with aggravated assault and was scheduled to appear in court in Napanee, Ont., on Wednesday.
The OPP could not say Thursday whether charges against the woman would upgraded.
Her next court date is scheduled for March 29 in Napanee.
Police have not disclosed how the two were related.
