Police in the Outaouais are warning the public about thieves who may try to resell several hundred pounds of recently stolen meat.
MRC des Collines police say 400 pounds of individually wrapped, vacuum-sealed steaks, pork and sausages were stolen during a break-and-enter at a farm on Des Erables Road in La Pêche on Jan. 17.
They said in a news release that given the amount of meat that was taken, it’s possibly they may try to re-sell the meat.
Anyone with information on the theft or who is asked to buy meat they believe could be linked to this theft is asked to call MRC des Collines police at 819-459-2422 extension 3231 or Info-Crime at 1-800-711-1800.
