A three-year-old boy is safe after he managed to escape from a Gatineau home overnight and wander to a bus stop.
Gatineau police say a passerby spotted the boy, who was wearing only shorts and a t-shirt, around 1:30 a.m. The passerby then called 911.
Officers went door-to-door in the area of Labelle and Amherst streets to locate the boy’s family, but they had no luck.
Then around 3 a.m., the guardians contacted police when they noticed the boy was gone.
Police said the boy did not suffer any injuries.
Quebec’s child services department is investigating.
