Two teenagers were arrested and are expected in court today after an incident involving an alleged death threat Tuesday that forced a Buckingham, Que., school into a lockdown.
Students and staff of Hormisdas-Gamelin high school in Buckingham were confined to their classrooms for two hours Tuesday beginning at around 1 p.m.
Just before then, Gatineau Police received a call from one 15-year-old student, who claimed he was being threatened by another — possibly with a gun.
Neither the accuser nor the suspects were at the school when police arrived. The school re-opened after 3 p.m.
Gatineau police said Tuesday night they arrested the 15-year-old suspect and another teen, aged 17.
They are scheduled to appear in youth court Wednesday on charges of uttering death threats.
Police said none of the three teens actually went to Hormisdas-Gamelin, though it is unclear why police were directed to that location.
