Police in west Quebec are trying to find the culprits who stole three horses in La Pêche sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. One of the horses has been found, and two are still missing.
The horses disappeared from a property on Chemin des Érables, north of the community of Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham, said MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais police.
The three horses are described as:
- A paint brown-and-white mare.
- A brown Standardbred mare with a blue eye.
- A palomino-coloured gelding Quarter Horse. (The palomino has been found.)
The palomino was spotted by someone in a field in L'Ange-Gardien on Wednesday afternoon, police said. The person recognized the stolen horse and called authorities.
The horse is doing well and has been returned to its owner, police said.
