Victim not cooperating with police

A woman was stabbed in Halifax early Wednesday.

Halifax police were called to the 2300 block of Gottingen Street at about 5:30 a.m. They found a 26-year-old woman in the lobby of an apartment building.

Sgt. Kevin McNeil said she was "bleeding from the face and shoulder, apparently from stab wounds."

The woman was taken to hospital and treated for her injuries.

"The victim would not cooperate with the investigation and refused to talk to police about how the injuries occurred or at what location," McNeil said. "The matter is still under investigation."
