Woman seriously injured after being hit by car in Dartmouth
Collision happened near intersection of Pleasant Street and Belmont Avenue
A 22-year-old woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a vehicle on Wednesday night, according to Halifax Regional Police.
Officers said it happened around 8:40 p.m.
Police said the woman was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Pleasant Street and Belmont Avenue as she was crossing the street. It was not a marked crosswalk. Her injuries are described as life-threatening.
The 26-year-old woman driving the car stayed on the scene.
Halifax Regional Police said there is no decision yet on charges.
The accident investigation team is looking into the crash.
