Two men face several charges after a woman was held at gunpoint, robbed and assaulted in Kentville on Wednesday, according to Nova Scotia RCMP.

The Mounties said two men broke into an apartment on Lamont Road around 2:30 p.m. and pointed a hand gun at a woman who lived there. Then, according to police, a struggle broke out and one of the men and the woman were assaulted.

Meanwhile, officers said the other suspect searched the home and stole marijuana.

They then fled.

Police said the woman suffered substantive injuries and was sent to hospital.

The two men face charges including assault causing bodily harm, robbery, firearm offences and failing to comply with conditions of a court order.

They were scheduled to appear in a Windsor court on Friday.
