Woman left with serious facial injuries after Dartmouth assault

A 19-year-old woman was assaulted outside Ralph's Place in Dartmouth early Friday, and police are looking for two suspects.

Police are seeking a man and a woman after a 19-year-old woman was attacked outside Ralph's Place in Dartmouth early Friday.

At about 3 a.m., an officer driving on Main Street saw a woman lying injured on the sidewalk outside the Dartmouth bar, being helped by a bystander.

The officer stopped to help the woman and was told she had left Ralph's with a man and a woman, and the man attacked her while they were talking. 

Police said the man and woman took off on foot and they couldn't find them.

The victim, 19, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries to her face. She was taken to hospital for treatment.

The male suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, with a muscular build and tattoos on his hands. He was wearing dark jeans and a grey shirt.

The woman who was with him had black hair and was wearing red pants.
