A 28 year-old woman is facing several charges after an attack on a 36-year-old man in Dartmouth, Monday night.

Police were called to an apartment on Nivens Avenue for a disturbance around 6:20 p.m. While en route to the call, a man showed up at a paramedics station on Jamieson Street with a stab wound in his arm.

The man told Emergency Health Services a woman stabbed him at the home on Nivens Avenue.

Halifax Regional Police arrested the woman without incident.

Police said the man and the woman know each other.

She is charged with assault with a weapon, violation of court orders and possession of a weapon. She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
