14 suspicious fires in the last month have police on alert
At least 14 suspicious fires in Halifax mailboxes and garbage cans set in the past month have caught the attention of the Halifax Regional Police.
Since June 1, Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to 14 calls involving mailboxes and garbage cans that had been set on fire on the Halifax peninsula.
All fires were quickly extinguished and no one was injured. Only limited property damage was reported.
Most of the fires occurred between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Police don't have any suspects.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact police at 490-5016.
