White Point plans rebuild after fire
The owner of the White Point Beach Resort is moving head with plans to rebuild after last month's fire.
The main lodge at the South Shore resort was destroyed in a fire on Nov. 12. No one was hurt, but about 100 people are out of work.
Owner Robert Risley said he wants to have a new building open by next fall.
He said Thursday that WHW Architects and J.W. Lindsay Enterprises have been hired to help with the design and construction.
White Point has also created a blog for employees, guests and people who live nearby to make suggestions about the design of the new lodge.
Fire officials said the blaze started in the basement and is not considered suspicious.
