Halifax Regional Police seized brass knuckles, a replica handgun, a bulletproof vest and drugs in two raids Tuesday night that happened within 10 minutes of each other.

The first raid happened in the 2,000 block of Gottingen Street in Halifax at approximately 7:20 p.m.

An undisclosed amount of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia was seized and a 31-year-old woman from the Halifax area faces drug charges.

Then at 7:30 p.m., Halifax Regional Police searched a residence on Braemar Drive in Dartmouth and seized brass knuckles, a replica handgun, a bulletproof vest and some drugs.

Several people were taken into custody but they've all been released, with drug and weapons charges expected.
