Halifax Regional Police have reunited a toddler with her parents after the girl was found wandering the streets of Clayton Park early Friday morning.

Police say they received a call at 8:46 a.m. about the child who was in the road near 278 Lacewood Drive.

The age of the child is unknown, but police estimate she's three years old.

Holly Tooke with Halifax Regional Police says the child is not hurt.

"The young toddler was without her parents and we responded and were thankfully able to locate her parents a short time later. She's since been reunited and all is well," she said.

Police are not saying how the child came to be on her own.
