Vandals smash Halifax bus shelters
Bus riders were left out in the cold Thursday morning after vandals smashed glass panes at four different bus shelters in Halifax overnight.
The vandalism occurred in stops along Lacewood Drive. Metro Transit bus drivers heading out on their routes in the morning first reported the damage. Not long after, caution tape was wrapped around the shelters in an effort to keep people away from the smashed glass.
Last January, 18 bus shelters were smashed in Clayton Park. At the time, Metro Transit estimated each pane of glass costs $700 to replace.
