The MV Miner was badly beaten up by the Cape Breton winter. The CBC's Gary Mansfield visited the ship Monday and got some amazing images of the damage above and below the water.

The MV Miner broke its line and ran aground off Scatarie Island, N.S., in September as it was being towed from Montreal to Turkey, where it was to be scrapped.

Bennington Group of New York and Armada Offshore of Turkey are working on an agreement with the provincial and federal governments for the removal of the vessel, which sits in a protected provincial wilderness area.
