Two snowmobilers who were missing in the Cape Breton Highlands have been located by Victoria County RCMP.

The pair failed to show up in Cheticamp Monday night after leaving Middle River Monday morning.

Both snowmobilers were found to have accidentally flipped their vehicles.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. one snowmobiler walked to a Department of Natural Resources office in the Cheticamp area.

The other snowmobiler was injured and remained in a nearby cabin.

A DNR helicopter picked up the injured man from the cabin. He was taken to a local Cheticamp hospital for assessment.

His injuries are not life-threatening.
