3-vehicle collision sends man to hospital in critical condition
Police say a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck and a car in New Glasgow on Friday
A man was airlifted to hospital in critical condition Friday after a collision involving a pickup truck, a car and a motorcycle in New Glasgow, N.S.
New Glasgow Regional Police said the 26-year-old man was airlifted to hospital in Halifax following the crash on North Provost Street around 5:45 p.m.
A 34-year-old man who was behind the wheel of the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the crash occurred when the truck, driven by a 50-year-old man, attempted to make a left-hand turn while travelling northbound.
They said the motorcycle, which was headed southbound, collided with the truck and a car that was travelling behind the pickup.
Traffic was closed in both directions on North Provost Street for several hours.
Police said the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
