Trail camera photos help RCMP in break and enter investigation
3 of the 4 people pictured not involved in any break and enter
Queens County RCMP say social media, and a well-placed trail camera, are helping their investigation into a cottage break and enter in Lunenburg County, N.S., last month.
Police released several photos on Wednesday of a cottage in West Clifford after tools, generators and camping gear went missing.
The pictures, taken on June 2, show several men peering into and standing around the building. After receiving tips from the public, the RCMP say three of the four people were not involved in any break and enter.
The photos came from a trail camera the owner had set up on the property.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Queens RCMP at (902) 354-5721.
RCMP Cpl. Doug Brannen says police received the names of several individuals in the pictures within minutes of posting them online.
He says authorities received information from several different sources and he attributes the quick responses to the high resolution of the photos.
