Terry Paul wins 16th term as Membertou chief

The longtime chief of Membertou First Nation in Cape Breton has been re-elected to a 16th term.

Terry Paul was first elected in 1984.

He said his priority this term is to spend more time in the community. He said he heard from many voters that he was away too much, serving on provincial and national boards.

Paul defeated two other candidates.
