Nova Scotia RCMP are releasing the name of the teenage boy from Maitland who died in a Upper Kennetcook car crash on Sunday morning.

Douglas Glenn Hill, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were called to Highway 236 in Upper Kennetcook just after 11 a.m.

Investigators said Hill lost control of his car, drove off the road, hit a culvert and landed in the front lawn of a nearby home.

No one else was involved in the crash.
