Teen driver charged going 160 km/h in Dartmouth
An 18-year-old driver was charged with stunting after Halifax Regional Police officers say they caught him driving double the 80 km/h speed limit on Highway 111 in Dartmouth.
Officers spotted the Mitsubishi Lancer at approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday, travelling inbound on Highway 111 just past Micmac Boulevard.
The driver, who was travelling at 160 km/h, was eventually stopped by the Burnside Drive exit.
The male driver was charged with stunting, which carries a penalty of $2,314.41 upon conviction.
