Three Tantallon teenagers were arrested Tuesday morning after a crash on Prospect Road just outside Halifax.

RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said officers received two reports of a car driving erratically on St. Margarets Bay Road at approximately 8:15 a.m.

Police caught up to the car on Prospect Road.

"The vehicle attempted to go through the intersection and struck another car," said MacRae.

"Police managed to stop the car and we arrested the 17-year-old male driver."

MacRae said the driver faces charges of impaired driving and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The two passengers, also 17 years old, were arrested for breaching conditions of court orders.

An RCMP officer was taken to hospital after he cut himself removing one of the suspects from the car, said MacRae.

The case is being investigated.
