The Nova Scotia government has chartered a vessel to temporarily replace of one of its ferries that was forced from service because of a cracked propeller.
The Transportation Department says work is underway to repair the Tancook Island ferry.
It's unknown how long the repairs will take.
The ferry runs daily between Chester and Tancook Island. Service has now resumed with the charter vessel.
The ferry is one of seven operated by the provincial government.
