Cape Breton Regional Police have released a security camera photo of a suspect in a robbery at a Sydney jewelry store on Monday.

Cape Breton Regional Police have released a security camera photo of a suspect in a robbery at a Sydney jewelry store on Monday.

Police said the man had a weapon and smashed a display case at London Jewellers on Charlotte Street at around 10:30 a.m. before making off with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

The photo shows a man inside the store carrying a reusable shopping bag.

Police are asking the public's help to identify him. He's between five feet 10 inches and six feet tall, with a pale complexion. He was wearing an orange hoodie with the hood pulled up, beige pants and dark gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 902-563-5151 or Crime Stoppers.
