A 15 and 16-year-old from Halifax were arrested after being accused of breaking into a liquor store in Truro early Monday morning.

The 15-year-old was caught carrying a sword, according to Insp. Rob Hearn of the Truro police. The boy is also accused of breaching his probation.

Police also said the other boy resisted arrest and had to be pepper sprayed.

The two were arrested just after 5 a.m. on Monday, according to Hearn.

Both are charged with breaking into the NSLC on Prince Street on March 30 and April 1.

Police say more charges are likely.
