Sweltering heat, hail could blanket the Maritimes

Maritimers are being warned to brace for severe weather and soaring temperatures on Saturday.
There’s a humidex advisory on Prince Edward Island and in Nova Scotia. With the humidity, temperatures could top 40 C on Saturday.
Environment Canada said people in New Brunswick, P.E.I. and Nova Scotia can expect severe thunderstorms with the possibility of heavy rain and even hail.
The weather forecaster also says there could be damaging wind. The warnings cover both Saturday afternoon and evening.
While people wait for the storm in Canada, passengers flying from London's Heathrow airport to Halifax have already been delayed eight hours.
