The July 13 supermoon brought adventure seekers to ride the monstrous tidal bore on the Shubenacadie River in Nova Scotia.
The moon combines a full moon with the satellite's closest approach to Earth, bringing big tides, which means big waves for rafters.
“This is actually the only place in the world you can tidal bore raft,” said Michael Stratton, the owner and operator of Whitewater Adventures.
The Shubenacadie River, Nova Scotia's largest river, is a Class 5 rapid.
