A woman is in a Halifax hospital after a crash involving a power truck on Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened on Highway 6 in Bay Head, just outside Tatamagouche, N.S., shortly before 3 p.m.
The woman drove past traffic control as a Nova Scotia Power crew was making upgrades to a line. She crashed into the truck as a worker was beginning to go up in the boom.
The woman had to be cut from her car. She suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries to her lower body and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre by a LifeFlight Helicopter.
There were no injuries to any NSP workers and little damage done to the NSP truck. Work on the site had to stop while RCMP and the provincial Department of Labour investigated.
It's unclear whether the woman went right through the traffic stop, or if she stopped first and then restarted her car.
