A man and a woman face charges after a prescription drug trafficking investigation in the Amherst area Friday night.
The Cumberland County police arrested a 52-year-old woman from Fox River for impaired driving.
During the stop police seized Hydromorphone, a powerful morphine derivative, that the woman didn't have a prescription for.
Police then arrested a 63-year-old Amherst man for trafficking.
Police seized cash, Hydromorphone, Oxycodone and illegal cigarettes from him.
The man and women will both appear in court next month.
Police say the abuse of prescription drugs is on the rise in Cumberland County.
