19-year-old charged with arson after apartment fire

Halifax police say an early morning fire at an apartment building on Ridgevalley Road was deliberately set.
Police say someone smashed windows and trashed furniture and office equipment in the entrance of an apartment building before starting the fire.
Police used the their dog unit to track a 19-year-old suspect who is now in custody.
The teen will appear in court on Monday to face charges including break and enter, arson and property damage.
The fire was quickly extinguished.
