Halifax Regional Police are searching for a teenaged suspect in Spryfield after a woman was stabbed in the abdomen Tuesday afternoon.
A 44-year-old woman was taken to hospital after she was stabbed in a three-storey apartment building at 540 Herring Cove Rd. just after noon. She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre with non-life-threatening injuries, said police.
A canine team was dispatched at the scene to look for the suspect, who investigators say is a 14-year-old white male.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hoodie, blue and white sneakers and had his face covered with a white balaclava.
