Teen faces charges after police car chase

A 19-year-old man from Dartmouth is due in court Monday to face several charges after refusing to stop in a stolen car, according to Halifax police.
The teen is accused of speeding away without his lights on when police first approached the car in the Burnside Industrial Park at about 1:30 a.m.
Police said the teen drove to Porters Lake before turning around and heading back towards Dartmouth.
Officers used what they call stop sticks, also known as spike strips, to stop the car.
Besides failing to pull over the 19-year-old is also accused of stealing the car, breaching probation and having break-in tools.
