A major big box store in Bayers Lake is shutting its doors, throwing dozens of people out of work.
RONA will close its shop on April 29, confirmed spokesperson Valerie LaMar. The hardware store has been looking for a smaller space to relocate but hasn't found one so far.
The closure will mean the loss of 99 jobs. The company said 12 people have been offered jobs at other RONA locations in Halifax Regional Municipality, and more relocations are possible.
Other RONA locations in HRM will not be affected.
