N.S. store apologizes for kicking out nursing mom

A store in Dartmouth, N.S., has apologized to a nursing mother who was asked to leave the store while breastfeeding.
Kendra-Ann Nugent said she was shopping at Claire's in Mic Mac Mall on Christmas Eve with her family when her eight-month-old daughter Brooke-Lynn became fussy.
Kendra-Ann Nugent confirmed that someone from Claire's contacted her on Saturday to apologize. (CBC)Nugent asked an employee for a chair and started to breastfeed her baby in the back of the accessories store.
She said she used her husband's jacket to cover herself, but an assistant manager asked her to leave.
The province declared breastfeeding a human right in 2000.A Claire's spokesperson said the store is investigating the complaint.
On Saturday, a spokesperson contacted CBC News and asked to have their contact information passed on to Nugent.
Nugent confirmed that someone from Claire's contacted her on Saturday to apologize.
Earlier this month a Dartmouth restaurant owner said customers complained about her breastfeeding, sparking a food safety investigation.
